Account Manager (f/m/d)

Position Description

We are looking for an experienced sales professional (full-time; f/m/d) to help expand the US footprint for GLIWA USA LP. The focus is going to be on strengthening and expanding the existing customer base as well as on acquiring new customers.

The position will report to the President of the US company and is scalable based on the experience a candidate brings or can build. The tasks of the position are:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Understand their business needs, goals, and challenges.
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify new opportunities and win new business through proactive relationship building, for example via participation in conferences and trade shows, by tapping into existing connections or by expanding on social networking, etc.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication with customers through various channels such as phone calls, emails, and meetings. Provide updates on new products, promotions, and industry trends.
  • Expanding Sales Opportunities: Recognize chances to offer additional products or services to current customers. Tailor offerings based on customer requirements and preferences to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal sales, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure coordinated efforts in serving customers needs. Provide feedback from customers to internal teams for product development and improvement.
  • Customer Retention and Renewals: Proactively work to retain existing customers by ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Facilitate contract renewals and renegotiations to secure long-term relationships.
  • Create and maintain quotes that are tailored to customers’ requirements.
  • Manage licenses, i.e. deliver and initiate renewals of licences.
  • Participate in trade shows and conferences.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive sales with major Tier 1s and OEMs as customers
  • Natural ability to build relationships in person and via email, telcon, on trade shows, events and on site in customer meetings.
  • Proactive approach in creating and pursuing new leads as well as maintaining existing customer relationships.
  • Experience and interest in technical sales are welcome, some technical interest would be beneficial.
  • College or university degree in a business related or engineering field.
  • Knowledge of the automotive software development tool ecosystem is a plus
  • High level understanding of Operating Systems would be a beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the different embedded devices in a vehicle (e.g., BCM, ESP, EPS, ADAS, etc.) is helpful.
