Technical Sales Engineer (f/m/d), Home office with optional hybrid arrangement (1–4 on-site days per month at Weilheim Head Quarter)

GLIWA is a worldwide leading provider for timing related analysis and interdisciplinary expert services. With the powerful Analysis Suite T1, we offer the most efficient software-based timing analysis optimization and verification tools for embedded software.

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team as the technical go-to person for the sales department. In this role, you will support the sales team by clarifying technical queries, enabling accurate offers, and driving pre-sales activities. You will lead customer presentations, demos, and workshops, build strong technical relationships, and help expand our footprint within strategic accounts. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy combining technical expertise with customer engagement and want to have a direct impact on account growth, pipeline development, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for the sales team, clarifying technical queries and supporting proposal creation
  • Lead technical demos, workshops, and customer presentations, highlighting product differentiators and ROI
  • Tailor solutions to customer-specific technical environments and use cases
  • Build, manage, and expand customer portfolios and leverage existing contacts to identify new opportunities
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion projects within strategic accounts
  • Support pipeline development by qualifying opportunities, tracking leads, and collaborating closely with sales
  • Manage CodeMeter-related process tasks and assisting customers with licensing questions
  • Analyse digital campaign performance (LinkedIn, Google Ads) and provide feedback on lead generation effectiveness
  • Represent GLIWA at conferences, workshops, trade shows, and customer visits
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and marketing teams to continuously improve solutions, demos, and pre-sales processes


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, information technology, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in technical customer presentations and managing customer portfolios/contacts
  • Sales or pre-sales experience, ideally focused on technical solutions
  • Strong understanding of account growth, pipeline development, and solution-selling strategies
  • Familiarity with digital lead generation and online marketing is a plus
  • Knowledge of CodeMeter License Manager is a plus
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, service-oriented, and a collaborative team player
  • English proficiency at B2–C1 level
  • Based in Germany, with the ability to travel regularly to our headquarters in Weilheim in Oberbayern for approximately one week per month
