Timing & T1 China Road Show 2025

In July, Peter Gliwa and Cristian Garzón flew to China to support our local distributors Siener and Flash Technology, who arranged several customer meetings with different Tier1s and OEMs.
The two arrived just in time for a flood-like rain but soon after the sun came out and welcomed them – fun fact: some hours of sun were enough for Peter to get a nice sunburn, which reminded him for the rest of the trip of some sunny hours

During the workshops, we enjoyed deep technical discussions, and all engineers were really interested in timing in general and gaining more experience how they can save time (and money) during their development process. Peter’s book “Embedded Software Timing” was read by a lot of engineers (luckily, we decided to translate the book several years ago to Mandarin!) and we were really impressed and proud to hear that one OEM took the information about timing and timing requirements and implemented them into their complete embedded software development process. We couldn’t be more proud!

During our time off, we enjoyed a lot of good food but sometimes struggled to find beer (in the understanding of German beer) and recognized a massive increase in EVs, no matter if cars, scooters or other mobiles, compared to some years ago. As Germans, we were very impressed by the integration of e.g., the traffic light countdown integration into the infotainment system of the car! Such a countdown would make the lives in especially big cities much more relaxed, as the kickstart and hustle not to stop would become less relevant.

Next stop: South Korea.
