As GLIWA looks more and more into avionics, I talk to more and more people dealing with timing analysis in avionics. Sometimes, I get harsh comments about how timing is addressed in automotive. Sometimes, with a certain level of arrogance. While I share the view that there is a lot of potential for improvement in automotive, I disagree that avionics uses a safe approach to, for example, the WCET analysis.
